South Florida Criminal Representation
I'D LIKE TO HIRE YOU BUT I CANNOT PAY YOU ALL AT ONCE. WHAT CAN I DO?
I have been asked that question countless times by so many of my clients that do not have the ability to hire me with a one-time lump sum payment. Very few clients in our hard economic times are able to simply write a check for the services of south Florida criminal attorney in their first meeting.
I am agreeable to working out payment plans with my clients. However, not all clients are able to afford a south Florida criminal lawyer's services even where the attorney is agreeable to a "payment plan". If the Florida criminal offense is minor, or is not a serious felony matter, the fees are going to be less than the fees would be if it is a serious offense, or if you, the client have prior offenses which can subject you to a more serious punishment.
Each south Florida criminal case must be judged on its own merits, and the payment plan will be tailored so that both the attorney and the client are comfortable with the arrangements that have been negotiated. That method will establish the manner and frequency of payment. I will set forth these details in a Fee Contract so that there are no misunderstandings or matters left to interpretation.
The client and the attorney sign the document and I provide you, my client, with a copy of the Fee Contract immediately upon its execution. All matters relating to fees are kept confidential and will be told to no-one without your consent. The contract protects each party, so you cannot be charged for hidden extras, and you will know your financial obligations from the very outset of your case.
